My first day or rather first night in US, full of emotion :


- Yellow Cab from JFK

Taxi drivers are racers. Seems like there's a rule between cabs.
They really drive n'importe comment.
Looking at them driving is like watching Fast and Furious.

I kind of freak out when the latino driver stopped by a gas station saying "just one minute, one minute huh?" leaving me alone for a while in the cab and came back and went away without filling his car.
I was like "What the hell, hope he'll take 2$ off from final amount"
but no, je pouvais toujours rever.

Excepting this, all was pretty good.
We turned and turned around Queensboro looking for the number of my appartment, and thanks god the guy was patient.
He have could say "come on it's around so go to find yourself"!

Whatever, I called my roommate, got off the taxi,
roommate came and brought me home.


- Home

Lobby is a hotel lobby with waterfall.
The apartment is super clean, minimalist in white/beige/brown tone.
There's 3rooms, 2bathrooms and a kitchen.
2 beds in my room, a fireplace, air conditionner and a huge ET
(yeah "EEEEeee Teeeee" from the space) which is staring at me when i'm sleeping.

In short, everything's cool here.

여러 감정이 교차한 미국에서의 첫날 :

- JFK에서 타고온 옐로우캡

이곳 택시 기사들은 전부 레이서들이다.
너무 아무렇게나 운전을 해대서 택시들끼리 무슨 규칙이라도 있는듯하다. 그들을 보고있노라면 Fast and Furious라는 영화를 보고 있는듯했다.
(고속도로 차들 거의가 택시였다!)

라틴계 택시기사가 "일분만요 일분만 네?" 라며
주유소에 잠깐 섰을 때 살짝 멈칫했다.나를 혼자 두고 가더니,
다서 와서는 기름도 안 넣고 가는것이 아닌가?
속으로 "뭐야, 총액에서 2$정도 빼주겠지" 했지만 천만에 말씀, 꿈깨!

이것 외에는 대체적으로 모두 괜찮았다.
아파트의 번지수를 찾으려 퀸즈보로를 돌고 또 돌았다.
기사가 기다려줬으니 망정이지 안그래도 무서운데
"다 왔으니까 가서 혼자 찾아요!" 라고 했으면 어쨌을까?
결국 룸메에게 전화를 하고, 택시에서 내렸는데 룸메가 마침 찾으러 와줬다.


- 집

로비는 "폭포"가 있는 호텔로비급.
아파트는 깔끔하고, 화이트/베이지/브라운의 미니멀리즘 스타일.
방이 3개이고, 욕실 2개와 부엌.
나의 방엔 침대 2개, 장작을 사용한 벽난로, 에어컨 그리고
내가 잘 때 나를 주시하고 있는 거대한 ET (우주에서온 "이이이 티이이")가 있다.

짧게 하자면 everything's cool here!
